Computers

The Indigenous Society works with donor companies and individuals to receive computers and equipment. These computers and equipment are then refurbished and upgraded to a level that they become useful as a tool in learning to use computers and the most commonly used software such as Word and Excel. Computer skills such as these are critical to finding a good job in todays work environment. As well as beneficial to students in increasing their college prospects.

Computers are donated primarily to community organizations that will partner with Indigenous Society in providing a location to house the computers, assistance with training needs, and that have a base of individuals they serve who could benefit from computers and training.

Computers are also given to individuals on a case by case basis, taking into consideration the availability of such resources within their community, and the potential benefit such as increased job or educational opportunities.
